Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (SJU) — the island’s main gateway with rideshare, official taxis, rental cars, and private car services available.

Transfers from SJU

Uber/Lyft: Pickups are supported at SJU – request in app and follow the app’s pickup instructions (location varies by terminal).

Official Taxi Stand: After baggage claim, exit to the curbside taxi line; a dispatcher quotes your fare and assigns a cab.Car rental: Rent a car from Sixt, Hertz, Enterprise, or Alamo in the baggage claim area.

Drive time: approximately 35–50 minutes to Río Grande depending on traffic; common routes use PR-26/66/3.

Tip: If renting a car, confirm your hotel’s parking and be ready for electronic tolls on PR-66
